Serkan Ozel is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Bogazici University. He holds BS & MS (2004) in Mathematics Education at Bogazici University, Turkey and a Ph.D. (2009) in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Educational Technology from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. His research focuses on the practice of mathematics instruction, technology integration, and STEM education. He is an expert on STEM education and educational technology, with a particular interest in how technology and mathematics skills combine to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge needed for responsible practice. He has been providing educational advising for social responsibility projects for corporations such as Turkcell and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
